  i am trying to explain to my muslim brother in law how evolution works.

  all he ever does is tell me how darwin was wrong about things and he seems to equate darwin not having all the answers to mean that evolution isnt possible, then seems to default to creation as fact.

  Birthdays-How Ridiculous the wts is

  the celebration of birthdays is banned by the wts.

  but from what i have seen from dubs, they actually take it one step further.

  they wont even acknowledge someones birthday!

  Andi, my mom was the same way, she was pretty much a softie on birthdays when I was a little guy. I think many decent dubs realize just how bleak the landscape is for dub children and bend it a little for them. Birthdays out of the whole lot of celebrations are probably the easiest for them to get around mentally since it doesn't have the big false worship stigma attached to it.

  i am old enough to remember the days when conventions lasted many long days and large.

  numbers of brothers were employed in preparing hot meals served on trays, army-style.

  also recall how good these steam cooked meals tasted - and how policemen, assigned to.

  Death In the Family, How do I handle this ??? HELP !!!

  my mom (die hard witness), is not doing well, she called me for the first time in over 3 years on sunday, she probaly has a year or less left in her, we had a good chat, she cried alot and said how sorry she was, and that there might be something to the things i have said.

  (wow i almost fell over).

  and then today my grandma died at age 100 (witness for 75 years +).

  Personally I think you should go, its all about showing respect for the person that died, being there for your family, and having some closure. Its the same arguement we use with the dubs when they won't go to another church for a wedding or whatever, you aren't there to worship or condone what is going on there, you are there for your family.

  Wow, seeing that timeslip just weirds me out on so many levels. I haven't seen one of those bad boys in over 20 years. I'd rather be stabbed in the eye with a fork than ever deal with that stuff again.

  i realize i haven't been around in a few days.

  i just want to say that i'm still alive, but work is killing me.. so between work, "recreation", and regular meeting attendance, i've been pretty busy.

  i'm still here though, and i often read but don't post.... i'll be back in a few though.... so send me a pm or email, and keep in touch..
